The Building to Business (B2B) initiative, an undertaking by SSA#51, seeks to rejuvenate commercial corridors by pairing businesses with buildings using the Building to Business Database. Through this approach, potential buyers or Leasees can search for affordable real estate, vacant lot and gather multiple data points on properties of interest. Inventive marketing and promotional strategies, financial assistance, NOF and other grants and resources can be utilized to assist interested parties. The Chatham Business Association, the service provider for SSA#51, conceptualized this initiative to establish stronger relationships with property owners who own buildings within the SSA. This model offers sustainable capacity building for properties that are in critical need of attention. This effort will ultimately provide more options for patrons to eat, shop, work, and unwind.
